Plasma-Pen Trier – Ionen-Pen treatment for a firmer complexion

During the Plasma-Pen treatment, tiny dots are placed along the skin. As soon as the applicator is at the right distance from the skin, the generated arc jumps onto the skin and triggers a thermal skin reaction. The heat penetrates the skin superficially – which contracts visibly straight away. In addition, the heat stimulates the formation of collagen and elastin deeper down, thereby increasing firmness and elasticity.

A follow-up treatment can be carried out after about 3 to 6 months if necessary. We assess this together at the check-up after about 6 and 12 weeks.

The contraction of the skin achieves a noticeable tightening of the treated area. Excess and wrinkled skin can be optimally tightened this way.

In most cases, one treatment is enough to achieve a visible result. Should the result not meet your wishes, a further treatment can take place after a minimum of 3 to 6 months.

Compared to other devices/manufacturers, the result after treatment with the planoplas® Plasma Pen lasts several years – depending on skin characteristics, care routines and lifestyle. The treatment can be repeated as often as desired – with a minimum interval of 3 to 6 months.

The risks are very low. During the first 3 to 5 days – especially in the area of the upper eyelid – bacteria can enter the freshly treated area, which in rare cases can cause inflammations. We will give you clear instructions to prevent this. After the treatment, pronounced swelling as well as scab and small crusts develop for 3 to 4 days – they usually disappear completely after about 6 to 8 days. The scab must not be removed – otherwise there is a risk of scarring. The new rosy skin must then be protected with SPF 50 for at least 3 to 4 months (including in winter) to avoid pigmentation disorders.

Not every health condition, skin type and area is generally treatable. This can only be assessed during the consultation and examination of the area. The Plasma-Pen should not be used in cases of acute inflammation or injury. Also excluded are people with a pacemaker, people with epilepsy or undergoing cancer therapy. Strongly pigmented skin (from skin type IV) should also not be treated.

The area to be treated is always pre-treated with a numbing cream. This makes the treatment very easy to tolerate.

You receive aftercare products from us. If possible, no water or other care products should be applied to the treated area until the scab has completely fallen off. Crusts and scabs must not be scratched off – they fall off on their own after a few days. Otherwise scarring may result.

On the day of the treatment with the planoplas® Plasma Pen you should refrain from sport and strenuous physical activities. From the 4th day after the treatment you can do sport again without restriction.

After the treatment you should, if possible, avoid the sauna and swimming pool for 2 weeks. Please avoid direct sunlight or tanning beds for at least 8 weeks – the skin is very sensitive to sun. For this reason, always apply SPF 50 to the treated area during the following 3 to 4 months.

If possible only after the scab has come off – then the area may come into contact with water and/or make-up again.

No tanning bed for five days beforehand. Alcohol, aspirin and other blood thinners should be avoided for at least 2 days before the treatment.

Symptoms such as redness, swelling, a feeling of heat and pain vary individually in intensity. We will advise and inform you in detail about this during the consultation.
